A communicator beyond the screens, Karla is a journalist and researcher at the Research Center for Journalism, Innovation and Equality at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI), with focus on the areas of technology, innovation and discourse analysis. She had her first experience in network communication at the national youth collective she is part of, where she acted as Team Coordinator and developed skills in the area of network strategies. Soon after she integrated several national and regional teams, broadening her experiences in networks, metrics analysis, content strategy and discourse direction.

Karla is from Maranhão and has been living in Piauí for a decade. She is a passionate Flamengo fan and also a Christian who disputes the counter-hegemonic narratives about spirituality, eager about the possibilities of a new world – a world without patriarchy or oppression, in which there is life in abundance and not only survival. Karla is one who disputes the future in the present.
